I'm a complete newb to TunerPro and chip burning. But I have been using WinALDL for the last several years for general diagnostics. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time getting comparable use out of TunerPro. I have a 7747 ECM, but it looks like the 122747_42.ads file does not have much information available. Nothing even close to what I can get with WinALDL. The most obvious omission is the lack of Error codes.
If my current laptop had serial ports, I would go back to WinALDL for diagnostics and just use TP to do the chip editing (as I learn), but that is not really an option due to lack of serial ports and my inability to get AutoProm-USB to work with WinALDL (which it seems should work, but has not for me so far). Is this just an issue with "learning curve" and I am just missing something here, or is there a better ADS file to be found? Google and other searches have produced nothing except some other people with similar problems, but no solutions. And I don't have near the knowledge to edit/create my own ads file at this point.
