Modified ECU + background apps running at the same time?

Hi,

quick question a bit outside pure engine tuning, but still related to the overall setup.

When running logging with TunerPro while driving (especially with a lot of parameters live), I noticed that some apps running in the background can cause small slowdowns or odd behavior on the data acquisition side.

I came across some online platforms that are pretty heavy (scripts, animations, etc.), and even when left idle in a browser tab, they seem to use more resources than expected.

So how do you guys handle this?
Do you keep your diag machine fully isolated (nothing else running), or it works fine on your side?

haven’t done proper comparison logs yet, but it felt quite noticeable during a few sessions…
